BEGO Dental Implants: What Patients Should Know

BEGO dental implants are implant systems made by BEGO, a German dental manufacturer with a long history in dental technology. Like other established implant systems, a BEGO implant is designed to replace the root of a missing tooth and support a crown, bridge or full-arch restoration after healing.

The important question is not simply whether an implant is a “BEGO implant.” A good implant plan also depends on your bone and gum health, bite, the position of the missing tooth, the final restoration and how the case will be maintained in the future.

Is BEGO a good implant brand?

BEGO is an established German dental manufacturer. Its implant systems are used in different clinical situations, from single-tooth replacement to more extensive restorations.

However, no implant brand can guarantee a good outcome on its own. Long-term results depend on proper diagnosis, implant positioning, the quality of the surrounding bone and gums, the design of the final crown or bridge, daily cleaning and regular reviews.

A responsible dentist chooses the implant system and dimensions after assessing the individual case. The same implant is not automatically suitable for every patient or every area of the mouth.

What is a BEGO dental implant?

A dental implant is usually a small titanium fixture placed in the jawbone. After a healing period, it can support a replacement tooth or several teeth.

A completed implant restoration usually consists of three parts:

  • The implant fixture placed in the jawbone

  • The abutment or prosthetic connection above the implant

  • The crown, bridge or full-arch restoration attached to it

Patients often focus on the implant brand, but all three parts matter. The final result has to work comfortably with your bite, be cleanable and allow access for future maintenance if needed.

What does “German implant” actually mean?

Some clinics use the phrase “German implant” as a general description. That phrase alone does not tell you enough about the treatment.

Ask for the exact implant manufacturer and model, along with information about the components used to support your crown or bridge. This is especially important if you may need maintenance or repair after returning home.

At FineUp Clinic, BEGO implant cases are planned using documented BEGO systems. Where BEGO implant treatment is suitable, we currently use the BEGO Semados RSXPro CC system and German-manufactured prosthetic components.

You do not need to remember every technical detail. You should simply receive clear treatment documentation that identifies what was placed.

How is a BEGO implant selected?

Implants come in different diameters, lengths, body shapes and connection types. These are selected according to the individual treatment site and the restorative plan.

Before recommending an implant, a dentist considers factors such as:

  • The amount and quality of available bone

  • Gum health and any active periodontal disease

  • The width of the space between neighbouring teeth

  • The location of the tooth, such as front or back of the mouth

  • Bite forces and a history of clenching or grinding

  • Whether a single crown, bridge or full-arch restoration is planned

  • Whether bone grafting or other preparatory treatment may be required

This is why an implant should not be selected from a price list alone. A preliminary online review can help with planning, but final suitability is confirmed after clinical examination and imaging.

What is BEGO Semados RSXPro CC?

The BEGO Semados RSXPro CC is a current implant system within the BEGO Semados range. It uses a conical implant design and a conical internal connection for the prosthetic components above the implant.

For patients, the key point is not the engineering language. It is that the implant system, abutment and restoration components can be documented properly for future care.

Are BEGO implants suitable for everyone?

No implant brand is suitable for everyone. Some patients may need gum treatment, treatment for infection, bone grafting or a different restorative option before implants can be considered.

In some cases, preserving a natural tooth may be preferable to removing it and placing an implant. In others, a bridge or removable restoration may be more appropriate.

The purpose of an implant consultation is to find the safest and most suitable option for your mouth. It is not to recommend an implant simply because a patient has asked for one.

How much does a BEGO implant cost?

There is no single BEGO implant price that applies to every patient. The final cost depends on more than the implant fixture itself.

Your plan may include scans, surgical planning, tooth extraction, bone grafting, temporary teeth, the implant, abutment, final crown or bridge, laboratory work and follow-up appointments. A single implant crown is a very different treatment from a full-arch restoration supported by several implants.

When comparing quotes, ask what is included and what could change after examination. A clear itemised plan is more useful than a headline implant price.

What records should I keep after a BEGO implant?

Keep your implant records, even if everything feels comfortable after treatment. They may be useful years later if a dentist needs to assess a loose crown, replace a component or plan further treatment.

Your records should include, where applicable:

  • Implant manufacturer and model

  • Implant dimensions and position

  • Implant passport or certificate

  • Abutment and restoration information

  • Relevant X-rays or scans

  • Treatment summary and aftercare instructions

This is particularly helpful for patients travelling internationally. A local dentist can assess your teeth and gums, but complete records make it easier to understand the implant system and restoration already in place.

Our guide to UK aftercare following dental treatment in Turkey explains this in more detail.

How should BEGO implants be maintained?

Implants need long-term care in the same way natural teeth do. Although an implant cannot develop decay, the gums and bone around it still need to remain healthy.

Good maintenance includes daily cleaning, regular professional reviews and prompt assessment if you notice bleeding gums, swelling, persistent discomfort, discharge, a bad taste or movement in the crown or bridge.

Your own dentist’s individual cleaning and aftercare advice should always take priority. You can also read our guide to implant aftercare and maintenance.

BEGO implants at FineUp Clinic

FineUp Clinic plans implant treatment with digital imaging, clinical assessment and in-house laboratory support. We use documented implant systems including BEGO, Straumann, Hiossen and Osstem, depending on the clinical plan.

FineUp is a BEGO Official Support Clinic in Türkiye. This means that, for suitable cases, patients can receive treatment planned with BEGO systems and documented German-manufactured prosthetic components.

The final decision is always based on your examination, X-rays, bone and gum condition, bite and the type of restoration you need.

Frequently asked questions

Is BEGO a German implant brand?

Yes. BEGO is a German dental manufacturer. Its implant systems are part of its wider dental technology portfolio.

Are BEGO implants good?

BEGO is an established implant manufacturer, but the right implant system depends on the individual case. Diagnosis, bone and gum health, implant placement, prosthetic design and aftercare all affect the final result.

What is the difference between a BEGO implant and the crown on top?

The implant is the titanium fixture placed in the bone. The crown is the visible replacement tooth. An abutment or prosthetic connection joins the two parts.

What does a BEGO implant cost?

The cost varies because treatment may include scans, surgery, grafting, temporary teeth, abutments, the final crown or bridge and laboratory work. Ask for an itemised treatment plan rather than relying on a single implant price.

Will I receive a BEGO implant passport?

For implant treatment, FineUp provides the relevant implant certificate or passport and identifying details of the implant system used. Keep these records with your treatment summary and X-rays.

Can a dentist in my home country maintain a BEGO implant?

A local dentist may be able to provide routine reviews, hygiene care or assess a concern. The exact implant and prosthetic records make this easier, but each dentist makes their own decision about repairs or taking over complex treatment.

This article provides general information and does not replace an individual dental examination or treatment plan.
